The assisted living program provides personal attendant care services to adults who live with permanent physical disabilities, as well as frail seniors. Care is provided in a manner that is beneficial to the client’s comfort and safety under the direction of the client. Personal Support Workers are available on both a scheduled and an unscheduled basis, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This program will assist clients to age in place, preserve their independence, and prevent premature moves to a long-term care setting. This is directed towards clients who are eligible for Hastings County Housing geared to income assistance. Program currently offered at 245 and 247 Bridge Street West in Belleville (Age 50+).
Personal Support Workers provide a wide range of daily supports, which may include:
- personal hygiene
- bathing and washing
- assistance with rising and retiring
- toileting
- lifts and transfers
- meal preparation
- light housekeeping
